In this tutorial I will teach you how to make drop shadow text like so:

First you will write out your text. Anything you'd like is fine, for this tutorial I will write 'ingeniouss.com'.
Secondly in your 'Layers' section click the button that looks like this () or you can simply double click your text layer. A menu should pop up and click ' drop shadow'.
Third of all a menu should pop up like this.
Set these as your settings
  • Blend Mode: Multiply (The box next to this is to select to color of your dropshadow. My preferable settings are a color slighty darker than my text. You can use any color for yours, I used #ffffff which is also known as black.)
  • Opacity: 75%
  • Angle: 120 (Make sure 'Use Global Light' is selected)
  • Distance: 0 px
  • Spread:0 px
  • Size: 5 px
  • DO NOT mess with anything under 'Quality'. Leave contour and noise as they are.
Click 'OK' and you should have drop shadow text!
